This report from the Secretariat covers TIWB activity from July 2020 to June 2021. Chapter 1 describes TIWB and its relevance in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Chapter 2 provides details on TIWB activities, trends and achievements and provides information on results obtained and lessons learned over the past year. Chapter 3 highlights TIWB participation at international events and the initiative's communications. Finally, Chapter 4 sets out the work plan for the year and provides an overview of the previous year's objectives and performance.

Tax Inspectors Without Borders: Tackling Tax Avoidance and Evasion in the Post-Pandemic Era

Co-hosted by the OECD and UNDP, this high-level event provided an opportunity to engage with government ministers and senior officials and panellists to discuss how the TIWB initiative continued operations during the COVID-19 pandemic. The panel also focused on how TIWB programmes can support governments with innovative tax tools, addressing illicit financial flows, adjusting to the new international tax rules, and making best use of South-South expertise.
